Kuneytown Blog Basics

Anyone that is a member can (and SHOULD) post to this blog.  It is the club's electronic log and bulletin board.

If you would like to be sure your favorite event, announcement, photo, etc. gets posted to the blog, then you should post it to this blog.

To post to the blog, or to comment on someone else's post,  you need "author" status.  This is simple.  Request author status from KGTidball@yahoo.com.  You will then be sent an invitation.  Accept the invitation and start blogging. Simple.

The reason we don't have a traditional website is because it does not make sense for the club to pay for a web manager, host site url, etc., which would cost thousands of dollars a year. Instead, a club member donated time to establish this web log ("blog" for short), so that everyone can share the burden of keeping members up to date on activities. This alternative is also much cheaper and less labor intensive than paying for paper, ink, postage, etc. for a traditional hard-copy newsletter.

It is not the club Secretary's job to post everything that every club member decides should be posted to the blog.  This is each of  the members' job, and its a great way to stay in touch with your club members. The Club Secretary's job is to maintain the blog site in working order and to moderate posts and comments so that nothing inappropriate appears. The Club Secretary may from time to time be tasked by the Club President to add certain content to the blog, using his or her discretion.

Please feel free to send an email if you have any questions about ho to blog or comment to blog posts.  Kgtidball@yahoo.com
