The date for the 2nd TOP GUN SHOOT has been changed to Saturday June 20, 2026

 Also note these changes to the TOP GUN SHOOTS

Starting April 12th, 2026 the crossbow category would be changed to the Archery category and will include crossbow, compound bow and re-curve bow. Shoot will still consist of 3 bolts or arrows at 30 yards offhand.

Starting April 12, 2026 we will be adding a men's and women's airgun category. It will be limited to .22 caliber and under. 10 shots at 33 feet offhand.

The First TOP GUN shoot was held April 11 it was sunny, very windy and because of the wind if felt cold. Eight people shot in nine categories. Present leaders are:

First TOP GUN SHOOT OF 2026 April 11

 

The First TOP GUN SHOOT of the year is scheduled for Saturday April11th 2026 starting at 10:30 AM. until all persons have shot. There is no cost to enter this event.

This event will include all 13 TOP GUN categories, with separate categories for women shooters.                            

  • .22 Rim fire rifle. 15 shots, 5 at 50 feet offhand, 5 at 50 yards offhand 5 at 100 yards bench rest.
  • .22 Rim fire pistol. 10 shots, 5 at 50 feet offhand, 5 at 50 yards bench rest allowed.
  • Rapid fire .22 Rim fire pistol. 5 shots at 25 yards offhand in 5 seconds.
  • Rapid fire Center fire pistol. 5 shots at 25 yards offhand in 5 seconds.
  • Center fire pistol 5 shots, 3 at 50 feet offhand and 2 at 50 yards bench rest allowed.
  • Center ire rifle 5 shots, 3 at 50 yards and 2 at 100 yards bench rest allowed.
  • Long range rifle. 3 shots at 250 yards bench rest in less than 2 minutes.
  • Muzzle loader rifle 3 shots, one at 100 yards and two at 50 yards offhand.
  • Shotgun slug. 3 shots, one at 100 yards and two at 50 yards offhand.
  • .17HMR Rimfire Rifle 15 shots, 5 at 50 feet offhand, 5 at 50 yards offhand, 5 at 100 yards benchrest allowed
  • Cross Bow 3 bolts at 30 yards offhand.
  • Youth .22 Rim fire rifle. 12 shots, 6 at 50 feet offhand and 6 at 50 yards bench rest allowed.
  • Youth air rifle. 12 shots, 6 at 33 feet offhand and 6 at 33 feet bench rest allowed.

This event is limited to club members only, except for the youth categories which any youth can enter provided they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian on the day of the shoot.

Do you know a youth who wants to shoot? There are two youth categories. Plus $25.00 cash will be awarded to the highest score youth shooters in each category at each event. .22 rimfire rifle shoot will be 12-14 years old and 15-17 years old. Air rifle will be 10-13 and 14-17 years old.

For the youth shoot the club will provide eye and hearing protection. The event will include an instructional firearms safety briefing given by Certified instructors. We encourage first time shooters to attend. There will be a youth sized .22 rim fire rifle available or bring their own rifle and ammo.

For the youth air rifle, the participant will need to supply their own air rifle and .177 pellets or BB’s.

Registration is not necessary but will give us an idea of how many shooters will be attending.

 You must provide your own firearm, ammo, and a gun case. All firearms will be unloaded, inside a case until it is time for it to be used at the firing line. The club will provide the Official TOP GUN targets. If time permits you may shoot more than once in a category.

Rules for each category are posted inside the club range building, it is recommended that you review them prior to the shoot. The rules will be explained at the shoot. 

Based on the number of participants there maybe time limits set for the categories that do not already have them.
